Sub Group 2 (R&D on boiler design for biomass co-firing and safety aspects)
Objective
to carry out technical specification and safety aspects including research in boiler design etc. to handle the pilot project for higher amount of co-firing of biomass with coal in pulverized coal (PC) fired boilers.

Terms of Reference
- To carry out technical specification and safety aspects including research in boiler design etc. to handle the pilot project for higher amount of co-firing of biomass with coal in pulverized coal (PC) fired boilers.
- To conduct study for biomass co-firing in Lignite based TPPS.
- To assess impact of biomass co-firing on FGD operation.
- Any other issues as deemed fit/as suggested by Mission Directorate (MD) / Executive Committee (EC).
